One-on-One Business Consulting

Thanks to our gracious sponsors, our volunteer counselors and our resource share partner, the Small Business Administration (SBA) SCORE is able to offer free counseling to any start-up or existing small business. Counseling is available in downtown Portland on a walk-in basis or by appointment and at other nearby locations by appointment only. Candidates for counseling may be planning to go into business, contemplating purchasing or selling a business, planning to expand an existing business, need to manage change in a business or have other business problems.

SCORE counselors are experienced, working (or retired) business owners and executives who have accumulated a lifetime of knowledge in a variety of various specialty fields. Because of thieir real-world experience, our counselors know what it takes to operate a successful business as well as the pitfalls to avoid. Our counselors can help to make you successful when you're ready to take the next steps for your new or existing business.

Many of our clients who can't find time for a personal counseling session find the answers to their questions through Internet counseling. The National SCORE Association Web Site offers the knowledge of twelve hundred on-line counselors with a large range of skills. Once you are at the web site, click on "ASK SCORE" and follow the instructions. We also have qualified Internet counselors located in Portland.
